Abstract

|
Visual acuity can be decreased by variable diseases that involve eyes and the afferent visual pathway from retina to the visual cortex. First, a targeted history taking of visual loss and other related symptoms is important. Second, subsequent bedside neuroophthalmologic examinations for the evaluation of visual function include visual acuity, pin-hole test, color vision, visual field test, relative afferent pupillary defect and fundus exam etc. In this session, we are going to look at clinical approaches to diagnosis for decreased visual acuity through the above.
